Jentzsch Kearl Farms in Southern Idaho is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support building upkeep, repairs, and improvement projects across our agricultural operations. This hands-on role covers carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general maintenance, with travel between Mountain Home, Bliss, Hagerman and Twin Falls locations.

This hands-on position is ideal for a maintenance professional with experience in carpentry, framing, drywall, concrete, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting facility issues, and completing a wide range of construction and maintenance projects.
Jentzsch Kearl Farms is a family-owned agricultural company that has operated in Southern Idaho since 1981. With more than 40,000 acres across seven counties, the company produces potatoes, sugar beets, hay, corn, watermelon, squash, and pumpkins.
Our facilities and agricultural operations require reliable, well-maintained buildings and infrastructure. This role plays an important part in keeping company properties safe, functional, and operational.
Key Construction & Maintenance Responsibilities Perform building maintenance, facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and construction work across multiple agricultural facilities.
Complete construction, renovation, remodeling, and improvement projects from start to finish.
Perform framing, drywall installation, insulation, painting, concrete work, and finish carpentry.
Install, repair, and replace doors, windows, fixtures, and other building components.
Perform basic electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Perform basic plumbing installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
Repair and maintain facility equipment, appliances, fixtures, and infrastructure.
Identify building and maintenance issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers for specialized construction, repair, and installation projects.
Assist with project planning, material requirements, budgeting, permits, and building code compliance.
Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests from management.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following applicable safety procedures.
Travel between company facilities as needed to complete construction and maintenance projects.
Perform other construction, facility maintenance, and repair duties as assigned.

This position supports agricultural facilities throughout Mountain Home, Bliss, Hagerman, and the Twin Falls area.
Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance and be comfortable traveling between farm locations. A company vehicle, phone, and required technology/equipment will be provided.

Travel between company facilities as required Construction & Maintenance Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, remodeling, or a related skilled trade.
Hands-on experience with general construction and building repair.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and facility maintenance practices.
$22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
