Description
Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician will assist the Facilities team with day-to-day tasks and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of facilities and grounds. *This position is on-site in our Tucson, AZ contact center.*
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance to the interior and exterior of facilities, including restrooms, break rooms, sidewalks, and lobby. Perform basic repairs and maintenance of building and equipment such as chairs, tables, doors, light fixtures, floor tiles, walls, pipes, vents, ceiling tiles, picnic tables, awnings, and move file cabinets, hang pictures, banners, and decorations. Keep facilities and grounds free of trash and debris. Assist with preparations for on-site events.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and research mechanical issues to repair or recommend solutions. Meet with vendors providing maintenance for HVAC, fire, backflow, plumbing, electrical, security, and generator systems.
- Install and maintain cabling and hardware for CCTV and access control systems. Test door alarms and emergency lighting; replace batteries as needed.
- Work with vendors and fuel distributors on preventative maintenance plans. Inspect and perform weekly generator maintenance tests.
- Coordinate with maintenance vendors for mowing, tree/shrub care, bedding areas, and ice removal.
- Maintain and control inventory of essential supplies. Handle pickups and deliveries as needed.

Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills):
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Occasional weekend and before/after-hours work required.
- Ability to be on call 24/7.
- Knowledge of reading blueprints.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Experience with safety systems and vendor interactions is preferred.
- Knowledge of office furniture repair is preferred.
- Adhere to safety procedures and demonstrate safe working habits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related applications.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable insured vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, reach, climb ladders, and work in various positions.
Working Conditions: Temperature-controlled environment, manual labor, occasional outdoor work, and potential overtime or emergency response outside normal hours.
