Job summary

Silver King Beverage Company is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain and operate utility systems including compressed air, water, and electrical distribution. Responsibilities cover preventive maintenance, filtration, CIP operations, pump and piping upkeep, and calibration of ozone and mineral injection systems.

Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of related experience; strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge is preferred.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and data.
  • Basic computer skills for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains compressed air systems and equipment with preventive maintenance tasks and schedules.
  • Conserves electrical distribution and equipment with preventive maintenance and data.
  • Supports process water and equipment including preventive maintenance and data collection.
  • Maintains product water and equipment with preventative tasks and data reviews.
  • Changes filters for filtration systems as required by equipment.
  • Performs CIP on storage silos, filtering equipment, and supply lines.
  • Keeps water supply to production lines via pumps and piping; supports associated equipment.
  • Maintains and calibrates ozone production and monitoring equipment (plant specific).
  • Maintains mineral injection systems and chemical transfer equipment.
  • Operates and conserves process water, chemical injection systems; assists with filler sanitizations.
  • Operates RO equipment including CIP on membranes and monitoring instruments.

Description

SUMMARY

Maintains, inspects, and operates utility systems including but not limited to compressed air, process water, product water, and electrical distribution. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the building related to utility rooms, pump rooms, electrical areas and water areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains compressed air systems and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational data.
  • Conserves electrical distribution and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational data.
  • Supports process water and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational data.
  • Maintains product water and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance schedules and operational data.
  • Examines filtration systems and perform filters changes as needed per equipment requirements.
  • Performs CIP’s (Critical Infrastructure Protection) on storage silos, filtering equipment and supply lines.
  • Ensures water supply to production lines by maintaining pumps and piping.
  • Supports pumps and piping to ensure water supply to support equipment.
  • Maintains and calibrates Ozone production and monitoring equipment. (Plant Specific)
  • Maintains and calibrates mineral injection systems.
  • Operates and conserves process water, chemical injection systems, and chemical transfer equipment.
  • Assists with filler sanitizations.
  • Maintains and operates reverse osmosis equipment to include CIP’s (Critical Infrastructure Protection) on membranes, monitoring instruments, and review of operational data and reports.
  • Maintains air compressors and air dryers.
  • Ensures cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers, and pumps are working properly.

Food Safety

Responsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. Skills/ Knowledge:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Possesses all basic and some advanced skills and knowledge. Has a thorough understanding of the total process flow.

Computer Skills:

Must have basic knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with production processes, machines and/or tools. Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical experience preferred.
