Job summary

Stryten Energy is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for 1st Shift in Salina, KS. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing required maintenance on facility equipment, grounds, and structures.

Starting rate is $28.51 per hour, with benefits and weekly pay. You'll work with maintenance technicians and mechanics, perform basic mechanical tasks, learn plumbing, welding, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical skills required.
• Knowledge of natural gas train systems preferred.
• Manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner.

Overview

Facilities Maintenance Technician capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and performing the required maintenance on all Facility Equipment, Grounds, and Structures.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures.
• Work with other Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Mechanics.

• Must be able to understand and communicate in simple English to receive training instruction and perform team responsibilities
• Acquire a license to operate Sit-down Fork lift, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with current Quality System requirements.
• Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures.
• Work with other Building Service Technicians and Maintenance Mechanics.
• Demonstrate ability to learn basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Follow all procedures with regard to lock out/tag out compliance and confined space entry.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with current Quality System requirements.
• Perform other work as assigned by the supervisor.
• Hazardous waste training shall be provided to the employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position, and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter. The employee will complete a program of classroom instruction. The employee shall be supervised until training is completed. The training shall consist of a review of proper management of hazardous waste, satellite accumulation containers, how to review and prepare a hazardous waste manifest, and proper labeling requirements.
• Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional heavy lifting of 50 pounds, routine lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous standing, walking, and bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching, for 12 hr. shifts. Repetitious work.
• Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Withstand occasional exposure to extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, odors, and dust.
• Ability to climb ladders, squat, bend, and work in confined spaces.

Equipment Used:

• Hand and Power Tools, welders, grinders, torch, 2-way radio
• Personal protective equipment as required

Education, Experience, Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical skills required
• Knowledge of natural gas train systems preferred.
• Manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner.
