Job summary

The Oregon Military Department in Salem is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance of facilities, roads and grounds, utilities, vehicles and equipment for the Oregon Army National Guard. This permanent full-time position may require regional travel and is represented by AFSCME.

A journeyman license can substitute for experience; a valid driver's license and PPE knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of general building maintenance experience.
• Two years of carpentry experience.
• Two years of electrical experience.
• Two years of mechanical experience.
• Two years of painting or plastering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair of facilities, roads and grounds, utilities, vehicles and equipment.
• General armory cleaning to National Guard facilities in support of the Oregon Army National Guard.
• Work in compliance with state and federal laws, policies, manuals, and procedures; travel regionally as needed.
