Job description

Description

Highly skilled facility maintenance technician to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of a large commercial type property. Handle repair requests, maintain building and grounds to the highest standards, and ensure safety, security, and excellence throughout the facility.

  • Ensure a safe work environment for guests, employees, and yourself by following safety protocols.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, building repairs, and remodeling tasks.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize property maintenance needs.
  • Handle emergency maintenance calls as required.
  • Manage department expenses to meet or exceed budget goals.
  • Address staff & guest concerns and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws relevant to the property and employees.
  • Oversee inventory control and asset management.

Requirements

Hands-on experience in general building maintenance, with a strong focus on drywall repair, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.

Experience with HVAC chillers and boilers is a plus.

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of tackling a range of facility upkeep tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment.

Self-starter with strong leadership abilities.

Proficiency in English

Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds independently.

Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

HVAC, plumbing, and electrical certification preferred.

Previous experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related field required.

Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of staff.

Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions, work independently, and multitask.

Adaptability to evolving work environments and priorities.
