Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Building Maintenance Operator to support the safe upkeep of our facility and equipment, ensuring a clean, efficient work environment at all times.

The role covers routine and preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs, with responsibilities including housekeeping, safety compliance, and assisting the maintenance team to meet daily production needs.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED and/or 2+ years of equivalent experience is required.
• Must be highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general construction/carpentry is preferred.
• Must be highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Support GMP and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary workplace.
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
• Develop a high level of knowledge concerning equipment in the facility.
• Perform pre-shift inspection of the sweeper and clean after use; inform Supervisor if it is not working properly.
