Job summary

Monroe Harding, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our youth-serving facilities safe and functional. This role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, vehicles, and grounds, with day-to-day work orders and periodic inspections.

You’ll coordinate vendors when needed, maintain fire, safety, and security systems, and support site custodial needs. The position reports to senior leadership and offers a Monday–Friday schedule with health benefits

Monroe Harding has served Nashville’s most vulnerable youth for over 130 years — children in foster care and transitional housing who need stability, safety, and a place that feels like home. We’re looking for a skilled, self-directed Facilities Technician who takes pride in their craft and wants their work to mean something. This is a full-scope role — electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, vehicles, and grounds. You’ll own your work order queue, conduct property inspections, coordinate vendors, and make sure every safety system is up to standard. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll put our values in action every day. What You’ll Do

What We Provide

• $23/hr. to start — more based on experience


• Monday–Friday schedule with daytime business hours, and occasional emergency availability

What You Need:

• 1+ years hands-on maintenance experience across multiple trades

• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License


• We serve Nashville’s vulnerable youth. A thorough background check and drug screen is required for all hires. Help us maintain a safe haven for Nashville’s youth.

Work Schedule & Hours

This position works 40 hours each week, typically Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend hours for emergencies.
