As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll serve as a trusted resource for keeping our stores operating smoothly and safely. Traveling throughout your assigned area, you'll perform maintenance and repair work involving electrical, plumbing, structural, and equipment-related issues while helping ensure compliance with safety standards.

- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing AutoZone professionally and adhering to company dress code standards.
- Travel throughout an assigned territory, including frequent overnight travel, to support store maintenance needs.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and properly utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct routine store visits to inspect and repair building, equipment, and grounds-related issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities to help reduce equipment downtime and facility-related disruptions.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, structural, mechanical, and general maintenance issues.
- Identify facility concerns and document store conditions using electronic reporting tools.
- Manage and complete assigned work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with identifying and coordinating service vendors when specialized repairs are required.
- Perform basic diagnostics and support for Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Help ensure company vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- One to two years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general construction repair practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage assigned priorities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet AutoZone's driving requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

- HVAC certifications or specialized HVAC maintenance experience.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order management systems.

- Multi-trade maintenance experience in a retail, commercial, or facilities environment.
