Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics in Kentucky is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to uphold site infrastructure, security, and cleanliness in line with corporate strategy.

You will coordinate with third-party providers, conduct audits, and perform preventive maintenance while resolving issues with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
  • Trade school or apprenticeship preferred for advanced skills.
  • Experience with building systems and safety rules is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, secure, and clean the site as directed by corporate strategy.
  • Coordinate with third-party providers to meet service expectations.
  • Perform facility audits and report findings, including safety reviews.
  • Execute preventive and remediation maintenance per guidance.
  • Handle minor daily facility tasks and coordinate contractor events.
  • Coordinate with municipalities as needed and provide status updates.
  • Support continuous improvement, sustainability, and security initiatives.
  • Ensure timely responses to facility emergencies and read/interpret docs.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the proper maintenance, security, and cleaning of the site through local execution of the facilities management strategy prescribed by corporate.
  • Coordinate with third-party maintenance providers to ensure services meet company and contractual expectations.
  • Perform facility audits and report findings to appropriate parties to include safety and facility audits.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and failure maintenance remediations based on corporate guidance.
  • Perform minor day to day facility maintenance.
  • Coordinate contractor and all third-party maintenance events.
  • Coordinate with local municipalities as needed.
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates on facility status and equipment availability.
  • Support and advance key areas such as continuous improvement, sustainability, security, and modifications to North America facilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.
  • Exposure to noise, and weather conditions such as excessive heat, cold, and rain.
  • Job will require punctual attendance and regular presence on-site at the assigned work location
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Knowledge of building construction and building systems, HVAC, pneumatics, electrical and fire systems experience is preferred.
  • Ability to respond to facility emergencies.
  • Have access to reliable transportation.
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
  • Read and interpret documents such as operating/maintenance/procedure instructions and safety rules.
  • Knowledge of safe and proper use of hand tools, and basic machinery.
  • Able to read, understand and follow checklists, project instructions, and the directions on the equipment and chemicals used in performing duties.
  • Able to follow instructions to completion.
  • Experience in Contract Management, Security, Reception, Janitorial, Grounds Maintenance, Pest Control
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
