Job summary

Goodwill Hawaii is seeking a Maintenance Worker to repair and maintain the physical structures of GWIH facilities and retail stores, performing carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and more, while ensuring safety and company standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance requests, keeping records, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring facilities remain safe and functional for staff and customers.

• Two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage maintenance work orders in MaintainX; coordinate repairs with facility staff, store managers, and vendors before work begins.
• Maintain accurate records of planned and completed maintenance in accordance with the GWIH Maintenance Program; provide job status updates and report delays promptly.
• Estimate labor, materials, parts, and supply requirements; assist with vendor scope development and cost negotiations.
• Perform general carpentry, construction, and repair work, including fixtures, partitions, doors, flooring, framework, trim, and structural woodwork.
• Complete painting, patching, finishing, and minor building repairs, including ceiling, wall, floor, concrete, electrical, plumbing, and drainage system maintenance.
• Install, assemble, repair, and maintain building components, equipment, and systems; inspect for hazards and notify management of major repair needs.
• Conduct all work safely within skill level limitations, complying with PPE requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
