Milam's Markets in Sunny Isles Beach, FL, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep store equipment, fixtures, and facilities operating at peak efficiency. This hands-on role affects customer experience, store appearance, and asset longevity.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot basic repairs, manage lighting and HVAC, and coordinate with store leadership on priorities. The position may travel to other store locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on store equipment and fixtures.

• Replace bulbs and maintain lighting throughout the store.
• Inspect HVAC grilles, ductwork, and store fans.
• Inspect carts and perform battery replacements when needed.
• Support floor care operations and store upkeep.
• Coordinate with leadership on repairs and priorities.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment for customers and staff.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.00 Hourly

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping store equipment, fixtures, and facilities operating at their best. Your work directly impacts the customer experience, store appearance, associate safety, and the longevity of our equipment and assets.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on store equipment and fixtures
• Conduct scheduled cleaning and maintenance of refrigerated cases, cooking equipment, lobster tanks, and other store equipment
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on plumbing fixtures, drains, and restroom equipment
• Replace light bulbs and maintain lighting fixtures throughout the store
• Clean and maintain HVAC grilles, ductwork, and store fans
• Inspect and maintain shopping carts and utility carts, including pressure washing, wheel replacement, and battery replacement when needed
• Support floor care operations, including floor scrubbers and floor buffers
• Inspect rooftops, roof drains, condensate lines, and rooftop equipment to ensure proper operation and cleanliness
• Complete store work orders and maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• Coordinate with Store Leadership and the Corporate Facilities Maintenance Team on repairs, projects, and maintenance priorities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for customers, associates, and vendors
• Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of tools, chemicals, signage, and protective equipment
• Assist with other maintenance projects and operational needs as assigned

Work Environment

You'll frequently walk, bend, climb ladders, lift equipment and supplies, and perform maintenance tasks in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions. The position may require occasional travel to other store locations and flexibility to support special projects, emergencies, and operational needs.
