How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in daily operations by handling routine maintenance, urgent repairs, and facility upkeep across three Lava Island locations. Whether it’s troubleshooting a fryer, coordinating an HVAC vendor, or patching up a play structure, you’ll be the one we count on to keep things running safely and smoothly.


Your responsibilities may include

  • Reviewing daily and weekly inspection checklists and ensuring resolution of reported issues
  • Performing light repairs to commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC units, and facility equipment (padding, nets, mats, etc.)
  • Handling minor plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks
  • Scheduling and overseeing subcontractors for more advanced repairs
  • Conducting regular walkthroughs to ensure safety and operational readiness
  • Logging and tracking maintenance tasks in our digital system (e.g., Xenia)
  • Traveling between parks using your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
  • Providing after-hours or urgent support as needed

Bonus Skills: Experience in restaurants, entertainment, or hospitality.

What You’ll Need

  • Maintenance Experience – 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in general maintenance or facility operations, ideally in a multi-site or fast-paced setting.
  • Technical Skills – Comfortable performing light plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and painting repairs with confidence and efficiency.
  • Tech Savvy – Able to use email, mobile tools, and work order tracking systems to log and manage maintenance tasks.
  • Transportation & Travel – Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and be willing to travel regularly between park locations (mileage reimbursed).
  • Availability & Flexibility – Must be available for occasional weekend, evening, or on-call support to handle urgent issues or time-sensitive repairs across park locations.
  • Physical Stamina – Able to stand, walk, and stay active for long periods in a physically demanding environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and safely crawl or kneel to access equipment and tight spaces.
  • Screening Requirements – Must pass a background check, drug screen, and have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) to ensure a safe and reliable work environment for guests and team members.
