Job Summary

The Facilities & Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment, supporting facility operations, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinating repairs and installations throughout the facility. This role supports production uptime, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, welding, fabrication, and office areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on production equipment, welders, HVAC systems, fans, compressors, and small equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment issues
• Repair and replace damaged equipment components, cords, plugs, motors, and related hardware
• Coordinate inspections and servicing for critical equipment
• Maintain equipment records and PM schedules
• Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, etc.
• Support facility improvement projects such as power upgrades, equipment installations, and workspace modifications
• Conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, AEDs, and safety equipment
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures on unused or unsafe equipment
• Assist with equipment moves, installations, and vendor coordination
• Collaborate with operations, welding, shipping, and facilities teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• Required to be a Certified Electrician.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or manufacturing support
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs independently
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and safety procedures
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Welding or fabrication shop experience
• Experience with industrial saws, plasma tables, compressors, or automated equipment
• Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, and Lockout/Tagout standards
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and work orders

Work Environment

Manufacturing and industrial facility environment with frequent standing, walking, lifting, climbing, and equipment operation. Exposure to machinery, welding areas, noise, and changing temperatures.
