RXinsider LTD. in Ohio is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical, basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repair and maintenance on equipment and facilities, and operate production machinery as needed.

Workdays are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver's license, basic electrical/plumbing/carpentry knowledge, and ability to lift up to 50–100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor mechanical, plumbing, carpentry repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities.
  • Inspect, service and maintain HVAC and related systems.
  • Maintain storage racks and assist with installations, renovations, and moves.
  • Move furniture, assist with renovation projects, and manage materials.
  • Respond to unscheduled or emergency call-ins and keep records updated.

Primary Function:

The Facility Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical, basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repair and maintenance work on equipment and facilities, as well as operate production machinery, as needed.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Relevant experience in the construction industry and/or equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform work.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and safe driving record
  • Methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in general building maintenance.
  • Basic electrical and plumbing trades and the materials, tools and equipment used in these trades.
  • Principles and techniques of carpentry.
  • Mechanics of air conditioning systems, thermostats, and related equipment.
  • Safe use and maintenance of a variety of power and hand tools.
  • Ability to obtain a Forklift operation certification and keep it up to date.
  • Driving company vehicles, such as box truck, large van, etc.
  • Comprehend and follow safety rules and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to read, understand, and follow verbal and or written policies, procedures, diagrams, and instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, responding to emails, documenting repairs, updating records, etc.
  • Use logical and creative thought processes to deliver solutions according to written specifications and/or oral instructions.
  • Perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Perform general/basic maintenance and repair on a variety of equipment to include: troubleshooting/evaluating on heating and cooling systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance, etc.
  • Operate and use a variety of equipment and tools.
  • Have a "customer support" attitude. Maintenance is a service, a positive, helpful attitude, and a strong desire to do the job right is a must.
  • Frequently alternating between standing & sitting; walking, twisting/turning; bending; kneeling; squatting; preferred & other hand/arm use; alternating between near/far vision.
  • Pushing; pulling; lifting; climbing ladders; balancing; carrying; stooping; and the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Summary
  • Perform minor mechanical, plumbing, carpentry repair / building tasks and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Perform inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance on equipment, filters, and systems such as; heating and air conditioning systems, softened water systems and pneumatic air systems, etc. Visual inspections of emergency systems such as emergency generator, emergency/exit lights etc.
  • General maintenance, replacement, and repair of storage racking systems.
  • Assist in the installation of air lines and new equipment, as necessary.
  • Move furniture and assist with renovation projects
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and materials. Order, purchase, pick up and deliver materials, supplies and products, as needed
  • Transport materials, supplies, products, and mail among facilities
  • Maintain exterior areas of the building, assist with snow and ice removal; putting down salt and operating a snow blower.
  • Be available to respond to unscheduled/emergency call-ins.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance duties.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, contractor, and vendor schedules – may supervise outside vendors.
  • Keep immediate supervisor and designated others fully and accurately informed concerning work progress. Report any present or potential work problems. Suggest new or improved ways of addressing such problems.
  • Promote and maintain safety in the workplace.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed, either by coming in early or staying over their scheduled work hours. Be able to work occasional weekends if needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
