Job summary

MADO Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Worker for its Chicago-area facility. The role covers maintenance and repair of the building and grounds, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting tasks.

You will perform troubleshooting, move heavy items, and help keep the site safe and clean. A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least 1 year of related experience; strong tool skills and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED; associate degree or certification preferred.
• Experience: at least 1 year in maintenance or related field.
• Skills: proficiency with hand and power tools; troubleshooting and repairs.
• Physical: ability to lift 50 pounds and perform demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs facility and grounds across trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting).
• Keeps grounds clean and orderly: mowing, trimming, snow removal, salting walkways.
• Troubleshoots and repairs floors, showers, sinks, walls, doors, HVAC, and fixtures.
• Moves furniture and large items as needed per management requests.
