Job description

Rantec Microwave Systems, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to assist the Facilities department with keeping our rapidly growing office and production facility in excellent condition.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform regular inspections, cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure systems are functioning correctly.

  • Diagnosing and repairing issues with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

  • Implementing proactive measures to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.

  • Following work orders, responding to maintenance requests and documenting work completed.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

  • Coordinating with other departments and external vendors as needed.

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.

  • Performing tasks like painting, patching, and basic carpentry.

  • Responding to urgent maintenance issues and making prompt repairs.

  • Oversee outside vendors as necessary.




Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5 + years related experience in facility maintenance or repair.

  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility systems.

  • Ability to diagnose issues and find effective solutions.

  • Ability to lift, climb and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues and vendors.

  • Ability to identify and address minor issues before they escalate.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Must have a good understanding and adhere to safety regulations and procedures.

  • Prefer experience in building maintenance, repair, or small construction projects.

  • Ability to use various tools.

  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.

  • The ability to utilize basic computer skills (MS Office, email communications, etc.).


Rantec's benefits package includes medical, dental, life insurance, 401K, ESOP, FSA, Short- and Long-Term disability, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays. Our working hours are 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday with every Friday off. You may be asked to work overtime.
