NRD, LLC is seeking a reliable self starter to join our Facilities team. In this role you will be performing general maintenance and repairs on equipment and assets, assists with the installation of equipment and manages the upkeep of tools, equipment and machinery.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facility assets. Assists with the installation of equipment and manages the upkeep of tools, equipment and machinery. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and excel required. Knowledge of CMMS software is ideal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on machines and equipment including but not limited to: Mechanical, Compressed Air, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Lab Equipment
• As necessary, develop relationships, and work with outside contractors to support continuity of ongoing systems (General Repairs, Mechanical, Compressed Air, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc).
• Problem solves production equipment issues and direct path for OEE.
• Root causes machine problems and repairs as requested and recommend up grades as necessary.
• Installs equipment as necessary or works with external teams to facilitate install.
• Use various tools to fabricate sheet metal and carpentry projects.
• Knowledge and ability to safely use machine tools.
• Perform plumbing and hydraulic repairs/installations as requested.
• Perform electrical installations/repairs as required
• Perform basic patching and painting tasks as required
• Maintain work areas in clean and safe condition while enforcing all safety rules
• Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas and equipment, checking for defects and safety hazards
• Perform a variety of facilities and janitorial duties as required
• Facilitate or participate in HAZOP review.
• Support site safety, health, and environmental goals.
• Develop and drive process improvement initiatives in “hands on” environment.
• Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years previous experience
• Ability to diagnose and repair basic building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical).
• Read basic blueprints and have the ability to follow various printed and verbal instructions
• Follow safe work practices at all times including the safe use of tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven oral and written communication skills required.
• Must be detail orientated.
• Ability to use computer.

Work environment is consistent with that of typical manufacturing environment with multiple operations, with regular exposure to moving mechanical systems with low to moderate noise level, in a temperature and humidity-controlled area.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and to stand or sit for long lengths of time with or without accommodation
