Job summary

Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain ultrapure water systems, pH plant, compressed air, chiller, boiler, and HVAC equipment to keep production running with minimal disruption. This role requires hands-on experience, the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and strict adherence to safety standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, manage inventories, and act as the main point of contact for maintenance requests in cleanroom

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of vocational training and a minimum of 10 years on-the-job experience.
• Knowledge of ultrapure water treatment systems.
• General mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial waste discharge and hazardous waste management programs.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant systems according to engineering specifications.
• Assist in developing strategies to improve plant operation.
• Act as primary point of contact for Facilities maintenance issues and requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain inventories of parts and supplies to ensure continuous operation.
• Ensure all safety-related tasks are completed on time and keep the facility organized.
• Support quality, safety and environmental programs, 5S, yield management, and cost containment.
• Daily work in water plant areas with required PPE; exposure to chemicals and noises.

## Facilities Maintenance TechnicianApplylocations: Bloomington, MN, USAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: R3693**Summary**Perform repair and preventative maintenance procedures on all Facilities systems to include ultrapure water plant, pH plant, Compressed air systems, Chiller plant, Boiler plant and other HVAC systems. Support production by maintaining the equipment for optimal performance and minimal disruption. **Responsibilities:*** Operate and maintain all plant systems according to engineering specification. Assist in developing strategies to improve the operation of the plant. Act as primary point of contact for Facilities maintenance issues and requests.* Act in a self-directed fashion to complete all PMs and work duties as assigned by the automated system and the Facilities Lead Technician.* Maintain piece part and operational inventories to ensure continuous operation of all physical plant systems.* Ensure that all preventative maintenance and safety related tasks are completed on time.* Assist in maintaining a clean and organized facility.* Support company initiatives, such as; quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment.* Daily work in a waterplant area, frequently wearing chemical protective garments and personal protective equipment in performance of daily activities.* Frequent daily exposure to hazardous chemicals/materials, odors, and loud noises.
