Job summary

Abbott’s Columbus, Ohio plant seeks an experienced Facilities Maintenance professional to maintain and improve HVAC, utilities, and building infrastructure, ensuring clean, safe operations.

You will perform multi-trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting, plus preventative maintenance and documentation in the CMMS. The role requires heights work and a valid HVAC license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in Industrial or Facility Maintenance.
• Must be able to work from heights and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve plant building and grounds including HVAC, utilities, piping, floors, walls, roofs and doors.
• Perform maintenance duties such as moving furniture, cleaning, painting, simple electrical work and light construction.
• Work in multiple maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine repair, electrical and HVAC.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspect and repair equipment, report issues to supervisor.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams and specs.
• Support snow removal, parking lot repairs, dock work and other site tasks as needed.
• Manage project schedules and milestones; document work in the CMMS.
