Job summary

The City of Overland Park is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Tech I/II to service City facilities, reporting to the Facilities Management and Operations Division.

The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and building systems. Candidates should have HS diploma, a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10, and KCJIS eligibility. On-call rotation and safety focus included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance of equipment and building checks according to set schedules.
• Reads work orders and accesses required tools and equipment to perform repairs.
• Repairs or replaces components in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Installs/builds out data and network cabling per department instructions.
• Assists in remodeling and construction projects as lead on specific tasks.
• Participates in on-call rotation for emergencies and after-hours support.
