City of Atlanta is seeking a DWM Construction/Maintenance Worker I to perform general maintenance tasks across City facilities. The role involves janitorial duties, fence and gate work, electrical/plumbing basics, landscaping, and equipment operation under supervision.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Georgia driver's license, plus at least one year of related experience. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license is required.
• One year of related public works, building maintenance, or related experience.

Responsabilités

• Maintain attendance and be punctual and prepared for work.
• Enter detailed notes and labor in Maximo or equivalent system.
• Support plant operations by performing general cleanup, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform building maintenance tasks to keep facilities clean and ready for use.
• Conduct grounds maintenance including mowing, sweeping, and debris removal.
• Perform painting, drywall repair, and general repairs to walls and surfaces.
• Move, assemble, and install furniture or office/outdoor equipment.
• Follow safety procedures while operating tools and equipment.
• Inspect and report equipment or vehicle deficiencies for maintenance.
• Complete required trainings by deadlines.
