Job summary

Goodwill Of North Florida is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to perform skilled trades and maintain/repair all buildings and facilities in Jacksonville, FL. The role includes HVAC and other mechanical systems work, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of maintenance experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Regular hours are 8:00 am–4:30 pm; position is non-exempt and full-time.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Two or more years maintenance experience required; 1–2 years in commercial maintenance preferred.
• Florida driver's license required.
• Electrical, plumbing or HVAC certification preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot structural components related to building and grounds systems.
• Perform a variety of skilled trades (painting, carpentry, minor electrical/plumbing, HVAC) for maintenance and repairs.
