Responsibilities

• Performs skilled building maintenance including repairs to doors and windows.
• Constructs or assembles furniture and wood/metal structures.
• Installs and maintains grand master lock systems and electrical security systems.
• Performs minor repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustment of cabinet/desk locks.
• Moves and assists in transportation of furniture and equipment.
• Sets up and breaks down cubicle partitions.
• Identifies projects needing higher skilled crafts assistance.
• Assists supervisor in scheduling work and determining needs for equipment and supplies.
• Operates tools including saws and drill presses for repairs.
• Maintains tools and equipment in a safe, clean condition.
• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude.
• Anticipates and responds to customer needs.
• Installs, tests, operates, and repairs HVAC equipment.
• Maintains knowledge of DDC control systems.
• Checks and replaces filters in air handling and heating units.
• Documents maintenance activities.
• Cleans grills, ducts, and shaftways in HVAC systems.
• Coordinates work with other trades.
• Applies electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration codes and practices.
• Interprets drawings, plans, and diagrams for installation or maintenance.
• Performs on-call duties as scheduled.
• Completes preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Responds to emergency situations as required.
• Maintains inventory and accounts for tools.
• Activates and deactivates building alarms and responds to alarm calls.
