Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Bunkie is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our facility safe and functional. You will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and groundskeeping, with patient and staff safety in mind.

The role requires at least 1 year of general maintenance in a hospital or business setting, a high school diploma, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience in a hospital or business setting.
• Knowledge across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and groundskeeping.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the facility.
• Address plumbing fixtures and leaks to restore use.
• Repair electrical wiring issues and ensure safety.
• Maintain HVAC systems for proper climate control.
• Seal roofs and perform preventative maintenance.
• Address safety hazards and perform carpentry tasks as needed.
• Provide groundskeeping for lawns and outdoor areas.
