Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a facilities technician to maintain a safe, organized workspace for a 1,000+ employee campus in Mequon, WI. You will service building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, coordinating with contractors as needed.

You will operate industrial equipment and use SAP for preventative maintenance, while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance. On-call hours and flexibility are required to ensure reliable facilities operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 4 years relevant experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience overseeing capital projects, special repairs, and construction (paving, roofing, flooring).
• Coordinate and oversee service contractors (janitorial, landscaping, snow removal).
• Experience working with and overseeing outside contractors on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and roofing projects.

Responsibilities

• Experience in plumbing repairs (faucets, valves, pipes, appliances).
• General electrical repair skills (lighting, production machines, building equipment).
• Carpentry skills for simple wooden fixtures, doors, walls, and furniture repairs.
• Mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for production equipment and building mechanicals.
• Use of basic hand and power tools for minor repairs of all types.
• Read prints and mechanical drawings for building layout and expansion projects.
• Operate aerial lifts and industrial fork trucks.
• Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, SAP, and Maintain software for preventive maintenance schedules).
• Willingness to be available during off hours for on-call activities.
• Commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrated accountability for commitments and deadlines.
• Flexibility to provide support outside standard hours including on-call.
