Job summary
The Salvation Army ARC Kansas City is seeking a Maintenance Worker / Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This full-time position supports building, grounds, and equipment upkeep across multiple sites, with travel between Salvation Army properties. Ideal candidates have at least one year of related maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate hand and power tools to support safe, welcoming facilities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum one year of building or facilities maintenance experience.
Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Perform general building maintenance and facility repairs.
Complete preventive maintenance tasks to support safe operations.
Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and HVAC maintenance.
Respond to maintenance work orders and repair requests.
Maintain floors through cleaning, buffing, waxing, and upkeep.
Inspect facilities and identify maintenance needs.
Perform lawn care and grounds maintenance.
Travel between Salvation Army properties as needed.
