Job summary

S:US is seeking a Maintenance Worker in New York to provide quality cleanliness and oversee the assigned location, including floor care, bathrooms, trash, and exterior grounds. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, ordering supplies, submitting work orders, and assisting at events. You will maintain tools and assist in moving equipment while upholding SUS policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience.
• Knowledge/experience in social service or related field is preferred.
• Experience in residential/crisis/24-hour service setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including floors, bathrooms, trash, and exterior grounds.
• Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance.
• Submit work orders and manage inventory of supplies.
• Assist with special events by setting up chairs and tables and ensuring area safety.
• Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in good condition.
• Respond to emergencies and uphold SUS policies and values.
