FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECH- 3RD SHIFT- $25-$35

JBS is seeking an hourly Facilities Maintenance Tech for the 3rd shift! Position starts at $25-$35 per hour based on experience. The Facility Maintenance Technician performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the water treatment facility's performance to ensure effective treatment and maintain regulatory compliance.
  2. Monitor the refrigeration system and adjust to maintain proper temperatures; ensure equipment efficiency and compliance with OSHA's PSM and EPA's RMP programs.
  3. Inspect electrical systems, troubleshoot faults, and conduct maintenance repairs.
  4. Install and start up production machines and other plant equipment.
  5. Resolve maintenance and mechanical problems promptly to minimize production disruptions.
  6. Follow all lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  7. Keep records of all work performed and update maintenance logs.
  8. Manage equipment used for maintenance and repair.
  9. Follow company GMP and safety policies.
  10. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  11. May require long hours and weekend work.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Skills in machinery repair and maintenance
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Good communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Dependable and adaptable
  • Professional appearance and helpful attitude
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving variables

Physical and Working Conditions:

  • Active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • Must be able to hear normal conversations
  • Frequent use of wrists, hands, and fingers
  • Visual acuity for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
  • Lift and move up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally with a partner
  • Work in a wet, damp, and cold environment (~34°F) for extended periods
