Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in facilities management, construction, or applicable trades.
  • Certification or experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish repair and maintenance of terminal assets using the work order system.
  • Evaluate materials and equipment purchases; procure supplies and tools as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Facilities to support terminal functions, including after hours and weekends.
  • Work with outside contractors and vendors as directed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Full Time Manual Labor San Antonio, TX, US

Salary Range: $21.00 To $24.00 Hourly

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to theFacilities Maintenance Director

POSITION SUMMARY

This skilled trades position monitors and maintains the company’s facilities. The role performs general repairs, preventive maintenance, and upgrades involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, building interiors and exteriors, furnishings, equipment, and special projects. Responsibilities may include coordinating with others to complete repairs and occasionally overseeing contractors. The position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, respect for terminal property, and a commitment to safety. The ability to work tactfully and professionally with management, drivers, support staff, and contractors is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accomplish repair and maintenance of various terminal assets using the work order system. Prioritize urgency of repairs and communicate status of work with the Director of Facilities.
  • Evaluate necessary materials and equipment purchases to accomplish repairs and tasks. Upon approval, procure necessary supplies and tools through our network of vendors.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Facilities to support terminal functions. This may include before and after hours as well as weekends.
  • As directed by the Director of Facilities, work alongside outside contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience working in facilities management, construction, or applicable trades.
  • Certification or experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and project management.

PHYSICAL AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including frequent day travel and occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to work in office and field environments.
