Job summary

The Plaza at Richardson is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and manage the facility’s maintenance team, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. You’ll oversee preventive maintenance, respond to equipment needs, and coordinate schedules within budgetary confines.

Ideal candidates bring healthcare or long-term care maintenance experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency systems. HVAc experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Facility maintenance experience in healthcare or long‑term care preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency systems.
• Ability to implement and manage a preventive maintenance program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in supply ordering and budgeting.
• HVAC experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members.
• Promote safety and compliance: conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills.
• Oversee preventive maintenance: develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Manage supplies and budget: order maintenance supplies and equipment within budget.
• Supervise contractors: oversee and coordinate external contractor work.
• Maintain standards: ensure safety, operation, and regulatory compliance.
• Train staff: provide job-specific training and enforce safety procedures.
• Coordinate schedules: plan staffing according to census and labor budgets.
