Job summary

Caterpillar Lafayette Engine Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor on the 2nd shift to lead a skilled maintenance team in a high‑volume manufacturing environment in Lafayette, IN. You will plan, execute, and improve preventive maintenance programs while ensuring reliability and efficiency of facilities and infrastructure.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, managing budgets and resources, and guiding apprentices and staff to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Degree required or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with engineers, partners, and suppliers to meet business goals while managing facility budgets and assets.
• Directs a facilities maintenance team, plans and schedules work, and evaluates performance.
• Oversees inspections, repairs, and updates of facilities and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
• Maintains inventory records and coordinates major projects to ensure on-time completion.
• Provides leadership to craftsmen to meet customer and organizational goals.
