Sonaca North America in Missouri is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor. You will oversee daily maintenance of the facility, inspect equipment, and lead a team to ensure reliable operations and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervision in manufacturing, strong problem solving, and ability to coordinate with contractors while complying with OSHA standards. You will manage budgets, schedules, and continuous improvement projects.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor. The Supervisor is responsible for inspecting the building to identify maintenance issues. Supervises maintenance employees and supports the manufacturing facility. Responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the selection, development and training of the maintenance department for the facility, as well as maintaining compliance with OSHA standards. Supervisor maintains inventory, such as tools and parts. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and all related systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience required. Ensures successful management of maintenance of the facility, including the building interior, exterior and equipment. Ensures maintenance support is available, as needed. Supervises the work of maintenance employees. Tracks capital expenditure requests and purchase orders, with responsibility to receiving purchase orders. Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Coordinates and inspects work orders when completed. Schedules and communicates with contractors. Manages and improve equipment performance, reliability, and up-time. Manages a team of employees, including hiring, workforce planning and scheduling, employee relations, and employee development. Ensures a safe work environment and promotes an environment of continuous improvement. Develops and implements preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance, as well as reliability programs and supervising maintenance optimization activities. Participates in capital improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyzes equipment and maintenance data. Coordinates renovations of existing facility and the construction of addition to facility. Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems at Sonaca North America. Possesses a current and valid motor vehicle operator's license. Oversees training of all personnel within the department and ensures training is documented as required. Assists in identified parts deficiencies and helps to prevent further recurrences. Coordinates communication between maintenance personnel and on‑floor operations. Collaborates with Safety Specialist and adheres to all safety requirements and enforces compliance. Manages time effectively so that production, quality and delivery schedules are met. Ensures Maintenance Department is in conformance with all Sonaca North America policies and procedures. Responds quickly to inquiries and follow up, as needed. Performs other duties, as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES

High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre‑employment assessment to be considered for the role. Must have minimum 4 years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment Must have ability to read and comprehend American English. Must exhibit professionalism when dealing with subordinates and superiors. Must exhibit ability to troubleshoot and correct problems using problem‑solving skills. Must have ability to follow written and verbal directions. Must have ability to apply basic math skills. Must exhibit attention‑to‑detail. Must have ability to handle stressful situations Must be cost‑consciousness when dealing with purchasing issues. Must be honest and ethical in all actions. Must have the ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing and other related systems of Sonaca North America. Must have the ability to perform various clean‑up and maintenance tasks, as needed. Must have the ability to update inventories and other supplies, as needed. Able to understand, inspect, operate and maintain the heating, cooling and ventilation system Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions. Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties. Positive, team‑player attitude. Must be dependable. Strong work ethic. Leadership skills.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds.
