Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent with 5+ years industrial maintenance experience
  • Associate’s/technical degree with 10+ years experience; equivalent experience considered
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor, chemical, or regulated environments
  • Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, work planning, equipment downtime, and continuous improvement

  • Coordinate equipment downtime and maintenance with production and other departments.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA PSM, safety requirements, and company policies.

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Portland, Oregon

Employment Type: Direct hire

Industry: Semiconductor Manufacturing

Compensation: $110,000-$120,000 per year DOE

Schedule: M-F 40 hours per week

About the Opportunity: The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor leads the maintenance team and ensures facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role provides hands‑on technical support, directs daily maintenance activities, manages repairs and projects, and drives continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.

What you’ll do:
  • Supervise, train, coach, and support maintenance technicians.
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule daily and weekly maintenance activities.
  • Provide hands‑on daily technical coaching and expertise to ensure facilities equipment is operating safely and effectively.
  • Sets the pace, structures the work and prioritizes daily and weekly activities in support of facilities equipment uptime, maintenance and repair.
  • Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and technical support for facility and process equipment.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pumps, motors, valves, piping, boilers, scrubbers, lighting, and other facility systems.
  • Support ultra‑pure water and wastewater treatment systems, including maintenance and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate facility modifications, construction, installations, contractors, estimates, and project schedules.
  • Inspect construction and equipment installations to ensure work meets specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, and facility operations.
  • Coordinate equipment downtime and maintenance activities with production and other departments.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA PSM, company policies, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Conduct facility inspections and safety reviews and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding schedules, priorities, budgets, and maintenance commitments.
  • Work independently with limited guidance and participate in a shared on‑call rotation.
  • Coordinate with management, contractors, local government, fire, and emergency response agencies as needed.
