Job summary

Qualifications

• Five (5) years’ experience in general semi-skilled maintenance and repair work, or as a building maintenance or construction trades worker.
• Experience working with individuals and groups in a confined setting is preferred.
• Must possess knowledge of common methods, practices and materials used in maintenance and repair work of buildings and building facilities.
• Must be familiar with the various tools used in building maintenance and repair work and their proper employment and care.
• Attention to detail; ability to work well in a team environment; superior organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility grounds and buildings in a safe, efficient operating condition.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and a tool control system.
• Schedule and perform maintenance of the facility and grounds.
• Respond to routine emergencies and make normal repairs.
• Define problems and provide assessments for repairs or replacements.
• Process work orders daily and document in the facility log.
• Transport clients outside the facility for job duties and appointments.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
