Job summary

Accelera in Massachusetts is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support building upkeep, grounds, and equipment, ensuring optimal facility condition.

You will perform preventative maintenance on production machinery, handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and seasonal grounds tasks, and document needs for the facility manager. This role requires a collaborative, safety-conscious team player willing to work after hours when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade school certification or equivalent is preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and groundskeeping.
• Fluent English communication and basic Microsoft Office documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building structure, grounds, and internal equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery following protocols.
• Carry out a wide range of tasks: electrical, lighting, plumbing, drywall, painting, and HVAC supports.
• Conduct weekly property walk-throughs and document needs for the facility manager.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests outside standard hours.
• Handle sanitation and upkeep duties outside regular janitorial scope.

• Help execute preventative maintenance tasks on production machinery by adhering to established protocols.
• Execute a wide range of facility tasks including low-voltage electrical work, lighting maintenance, plumbing, pneumatic line service, structural repairs for ceilings, walls, and doors, as well as painting, masonry, flooring, and winter weather site management.
• Conduct routine weekly walkthroughs of the property to identify and document maintenance needs for the facility manager.
• Provide prompt support by responding to urgent maintenance requests outside of standard hours.
• Handle all sanitation and upkeep duties that fall outside the scope of the regular janitorial team.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Diploma or a recognized equivalent.
• Preference for candidates holding a four-year trade school certification or an equivalent educational background.
• Demonstrate a robust maintenance history with three to five years of practical experience in industrial settings, covering carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and seasonal groundskeeping.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, while utilizing Microsoft Office software to manage documentation.
• Maintain a proactive, results-driven approach as a team member who possesses excellent manual dexterity and physical coordination.
• Maintain compliance with site-specific requirements, which may necessitate US Person status.
