Job summary

Sierra College is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a broad range of skilled work across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and locksmith tasks on campus. The position supports campus facilities in Rocklin, CA, with emphasis on building systems, safety compliance, and reliable operation of infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, locksmith, and painting tasks.
• Willingness to operate safety equipment and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Valid California Driver’s License and relevant safety certificates.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems and lighting.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, and locksmith work.
• Inspect and service safety systems including fire alarms and sensors.
• Operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools.
• Provide onboarding support and supervise student workers as needed.
• Maintain records and reports of work performed.
