Job summary

EchoStar Corporation in Englewood, CO is seeking a Facilities Maintenance & Event Operations Specialist to bridge routine property maintenance, event logistics, and BAS/EMS learning on the path to more energy-efficient, smart building operations.

You will support in‑person interviews, assist licensed technicians, conduct safety inspections, and help optimize building systems using AI-driven BAS monitoring and digital ticketing tools.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in facility operations, event logistics, or general trade maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to participate in on‑call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute day‑to‑day routine building maintenance such as minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
  • Deliver seamless event setup, furniture arrangement, and breakdown operations per floor plans and schedules.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections to identify and remediate hazards across the property grounds.
  • Assist licensed technicians with troubleshooting digital controls, sensors, actuators, and HVAC components.
  • Monitor and adjust Building Automation Systems and Energy Management Systems to optimize facility efficiency.
  • Support smart building diagnostic workflows using AI‑driven BAS monitoring software and digital ticketing tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in‑person interview.

The Facilities Maintenance & Event Operations Specialist bridges routine property maintenance, event logistics, and technical building systems learning to ensure optimal facility functionality. The position resolves complex venue arrangement requirements while addressing urgent facility maintenance and emergency repairs. Additionally, the role targets energy efficiency and facility climate control through hands‑on apprenticeship with modern Building Automation Systems (BAS) and smart building networks.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Execute day‑to‑day routine building maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
  • Deliver seamless event setup, furniture arrangement, and breakdown operations per floor plans and schedules
  • Conduct routine safety inspections across property grounds to identify and remediate potential hazards
  • Assist licensed technicians with troubleshooting digital controls, sensors, actuators, and HVAC system components
  • Monitor and adjust Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) to optimize overall facility efficiency
  • Support smart building diagnostic workflows using AI‑driven BAS monitoring software and digital ticketing tools
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you’ll bring):

  • Strong skills in commercial facility maintenance, general structural repairs, and routine groundskeeping
  • Ability to interpret floor plans, schematic diagrams, wiring blueprints, and technical operational manuals
  • Effective problem solving, logical decision making, and rapid response handling for urgent building issues
  • AI literacy and application in utilizing digital maintenance platforms, intelligent building software, and sensor networks
  • Collaboration skills when assisting licensed technicians, event managers, and external facility stakeholders
  • Critical experience in operating hand tools, digital multimeters, diagnostic tools, and event logistical equipment

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical systems, hand/power tools, and digital ticketing systems

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in facility operations, event logistics, or general trade maintenance
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $20.72/Hour - $29.62/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
