Job summary

City of Sugar Hill is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform minor repairs and perform preventative maintenance on city facilities. This hourly, non-exempt role handles mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and related trades to maintain city buildings and assets.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of building trades experience, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Implements and improves a preventive maintenance program.
• Performs light carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, painting and related upkeep work.

• Supports custodial services, energy conservation, and facility capital projects.
