Job summary

North Slope Borough is seeking a versatile maintenance worker to perform a variety of manual facility maintenance, minor repairs, and simple project tasks. The role emphasizes cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and timely documentation of work performed.

Candidates must hold a valid Alaska driver’s license, provide vaccination history (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Hepatitis A/B), and pass FBI fingerprint and state background checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets North Slope Borough criteria.
• Documentation of Diphtheria, Tetanus, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations as required.
• Ability to pass FBI fingerprint background check within 60 days of hire.
• Criminal history background check clearance by the State of Alaska.
• Documentation of absence of active pulmonary tuberculosis.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, sanitation and janitorial duties as required.
• Clean work areas and equipment, move supplies, repair departmental equipment, shuttle parts and documentation.
• Maintain and update records and documents related to work performed.
• Work non-traditional hours including evenings, holidays, weekends; may be on-call 24 hours.
