Women In Need (Win) is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to support upkeep, safety, and appearance of our shelter facilities. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and cleaning to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role involves fixing furniture, appliances, doors, locks, and other building components, conducting preventative maintenance, inspecting detectors, and assisting with seasonal HVAC tasks.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance or custodial work preferred.
• Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry repairs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs regularly.

Aufgaben

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections throughout the facility and grounds.
• Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces, including snow and ice removal.
• Repair furniture, appliances, equipment, doors, locks, and other building components.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and sheetrock repairs.
• Conduct unit inspections and perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Inspect, maintain, and replace smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as needed.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance of heating and air conditioning units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and complete additional duties as assigned.
