Job description

About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

How We Operate
  • Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.

  • Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.

  • First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.

  • Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.

The Supply Chain Team

Examples of key problems the team is working on

  • Supply 10GW of compute, the largest build out of compute in history. Qualify and dual‑source across every critical equipment category, with lead‑time and capacity thresholds tied directly to the forward build pipeline.

  • Make supply chain the reason we build faster than anyone. Our modular build redefines speed in this industry, and it lives or dies on supply chain. Keep procurement permanently off the critical path so schedule compression stays our advantage, not our constraint.

  • Build the most accurate supply chain prediction modeling that exists. Use the frontier of AI to forecast lead times, demand, and disruption with a precision the industry has never had, and turn that foresight into a structural edge.

Role Scope
  • Own EPA and RCRA hazardous waste compliance end to end: manifests, generator status (LQG/SQG), and accumulation area management under 40 CFR Part 262, plus licensed disposal vendor audits.

  • Administer the GHS and HazCom program and SDS library, and manage Maximum Allowable Quantities of hazardous chemicals per IFC/NFPA 400, coordinating with the Authority Having Jurisdiction and the Maricopa County fire and air authorities on control areas, permits, and inspections.

  • Own the facility‑wide Job Hazard Analysis program: set standards for completion, review cycles, and sign‑off across all job classifications, and audit for quality.

  • Coordinate SPCC and EPCRA spill prevention and emergency response, lead drills, maintain a trained spill response team, and keep the master environmental compliance calendar at zero missed deadlines.

  • Own the facilities safety and hazmat program budget and the disposal and consultant vendor relationships, and manage and develop the environmental and safety technicians assigned to the program.

What We're Looking For

The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.

  • You've managed RCRA hazardous waste compliance end to end, including manifests, generator status, accumulation area management, and disposal vendor audits.

  • You've built or run a GHS and HazCom program, including new chemical approval workflows and employee right‑to‑know training.

  • You've managed Maximum Allowable Quantities of hazardous chemicals under IFC/NFPA 400 and worked directly with an Authority Having Jurisdiction or county fire and air authority on control area design and permits.

  • You've managed and developed environmental or safety technicians, or owned the disposal‑vendor and consultant relationships and budget for a hazmat program.

  • You've owned a Job Hazard Analysis program across multiple job classifications, including audits that caught real gaps, not just paperwork completion.

  • You've coordinated SPCC or EPCRA spill response plans, run drills, and kept a trained response team ready.

  • You maintain a compliance calendar with zero missed regulatory deadlines, not a tracker you catch up on after the fact.

  • Bonus: Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) experience. Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credential. Air permit record‑keeping or emissions reporting experience.

Compensation: $105,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Offers equity in the form of stock options.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
