Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to keep service centers safe and functional. You will maintain and repair the facility, shop, yard, and dock areas, coordinating with vendors and the internal team to ensure timely repairs.

The role requires basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing skills, the ability to work independently or with a team, and strong attention to safety standards. Travel may be required and hours vary with operational needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing.
Ability to follow instructions.
Able to work alone or as a team member.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
PC experience and ability to use maintenance software programs.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair service center facility, shop, grounds and dock area.
Ensure compliance with all company standards and local safety codes so inspections pass.
Act as liaison for facility maintenance needs across service center personnel.
Schedule and oversee repairs with vendors; review FSAs for scope and timeliness.
Coordinate in-house and 3rd-party repairs with the Facility Maintenance team.
Perform other duties as required.
