Job summary

State of California is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in the Facilities Management Division to independently perform skilled maintenance, repairs, and improvements on buildings, spaces, mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with DGS and FMD policies.

This position requires DMV Employer Pull Notice participation, potential travel, and an in-office work arrangement. Final filing date is 10/21/2026. Salary ranges from $5,422 to $7,136 per month.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance tasks to repair, maintain and improve buildings, spaces and mechanical systems.
• Repair and service equipment in accordance with DGS and FMD policies and guidelines.
• Work independently under the supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades.
