Job summary

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, part of Tower Health, seeks a skilled General Maintenance Mechanic to join our Facilities team. You will perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks across the hospital to keep environments safe, functional, and compliant.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting, and can work independently or with contractors. Experience using a CMMS is preferred, and you will document work orders and coordinate with

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED.
• Relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience using a CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain building systems and interior finishes.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hand and power tools, including ordering replacement parts when needed.
• Program and maintain facility clocks as required.
• Assist specialty mechanics with maintenance and repair projects.
• Install and repair hospital signage, as applicable to the location.
• Complete and document work orders using a CMMS.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for renovations and improvements.
• Maintain records for inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, and carpentry tasks.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work safely and timely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
