Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our facilities team. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing MEP systems, performing routine inspections, and coordinating with external contractors.

You will work Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, and participate in on-call rotation. Required are a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of maintenance experience; a Black Seal Boiler License and CFR 40 certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience using CMMS.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
• Black Seal Boiler License and CFR 40 Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain and repair MEP systems including plumbing, electrical systems and HVAC components.
• Perform general building maintenance such as painting, spackling, carpentry, and ceiling repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and an organized workspace.
• Track maintenance activities and repairs using CMMS and spreadsheets.
• Conduct daily equipment rounds to monitor systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Participate in safety training and maintain required certifications.
• Assist with snow removal as needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and external contractors on projects.
• Order parts and supplies as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and overtime as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
