Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily check-off log of utilities/facility equipment.
  • Inspect buildings and structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions, performing needed repairs.
  • Perform electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches, outlets, bulbs, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords).
  • Perform plumbing maintenance (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains, laying new lines, replacing drain hoses).
  • Perform painting, carpentry, and masonry work.
  • Maintain overhead lighting systems.
  • Inspect and correct exterior door mechanics and seals.
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities.
  • Maintain interior and exterior roll-up doors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all SCN BestCo policies, guidelines, and cGMP standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, basic electrical, welding, and pipefitting skills.
  • Ability to read manuals, blueprints, engineer designs, and complex schematics.
  • Effective time management, communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
  • Mathematical skills to perform calculations and interpret data.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and write routine reports.
  • Problem-solving skills to address practical issues with limited standardization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate from college or technical school in a relevant field.
  • Current OSHA forklift certification.
  • Career Readiness Certification (CRC).
  • Knowledge of boilers, chillers, refrigeration, pumps, motors, and temperature controls.
