Facilities Maintenance Mechanic:

- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment in assigned areas.
- Use troubleshooting skills to recognize system and equipment problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs in assigned areas.
- Collaborate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and peers to identify and implement continuous improvements.
- Participate in multi-functional teams to support continuous improvement or equipment installation/modification.
- Provide training and coaching to other mechanics and operators as needed.
- Perform and document work according to SOPs, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs), including work orders, logbooks, and permits.
- Respond to multiple equipment and production issues, prioritizing and adjusting assignments to meet production demands.
- Work or be on-call during other shifts and weekends as needed to support facility and equipment maintenance coverage.
- Support a 3-shift, 24x7 operating production site.
- Act as the maintenance owner for assigned systems.
- Support the installation and qualification of new equipment and systems.
Essential Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of maintenance mechanic experience in any environment
- Completion of a state-accredited journeyman or technical school program, or equivalent formal education and field experience, demonstrating proficiency in at least two of the following areas:
o Mechanical maintenance of production equipment
o Utility systems maintenance and repair
o Electrical maintenance
o Instrumentation and controls
o Mechanical fabrication/machine shop
- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment for maintaining a pharmaceutical production plant.
- Ability to understand and mitigate safety hazards such as LOTO, line breaking, hot work, etc.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to interpret P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics, and architectural drawings.
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications:
- AAS in Engineering Technology
- Understanding and operational familiarity with PC/PLC control systems.
- Pharmaceutical/CGMP maintenance training and experience
- Experience with facilities and utilities equipment maintenance, including HVAC, boilers, air compressors, purified water systems, and electrical distribution systems.
- Experience with material handling equipment such as automated cranes, conveyors, sorting systems, and forklifts.
- Knowledge of reliability and asset management principles.
