Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Manager will oversee and manage maintenance operations across multiple locations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align maintenance efforts with business objectives, manages vendor relationships, coordinates repair activities, and ensures compliance with safety protocols and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee daily facility operations, including security, maintenance, and service functions.
  • Manage and review vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and verifying billing accuracy.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance projects within agreed timelines.
  • Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, including hiring, training, and professional development.
  • Enforce safety standards, including lockout/tagout protocols and other regulations.
  • Develop and manage facility budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities through analysis and process improvements.
  • Coordinate with vendors for timely and cost-effective repairs and maintenance.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate equipment logs to support billing and transparency.
  • Ensure tasks are performed with attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to read and write effectively.
  • Understanding of documentation practices.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform related tasks.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Advanced education or certification in facilities management or related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of facilities maintenance management experience, including at least 3 years in leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Expertise in lockout/tagout safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost reduction strategies.
  • Experience with maintenance tools, equipment, and material handling machinery.
