Facility Overview

Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the Engineering Department, support the hospital's mission, and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the Engineering Department and chair the Environment of Care Committee.
  • Implement management plans, review policies, and manage safety surveillance programs.
  • Oversee planned and corrective maintenance for systems including boilers, steam, vertical transport, plumbing, electrical power, HVAC, and medical gases.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Maintain trained staff, provide guidance, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Oversee hospital properties, including leased and Foundation properties.
Core Functions
  • Manage daily operations, coordinate facility maintenance, and oversee testing records for utilities.
  • Assist with financial planning, develop budgets, and evaluate energy conservation measures.
  • Coordinate work schedules, review construction drawings, and manage special projects.
Personnel Management
  • Schedule duties, evaluate personnel needs, and perform annual evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent education/certifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical, facilities, or people management fields.
  • Certifications required upon hire.
